Historic floods in Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong province left 102 people dead or missing and property losses of nearly 500 million USD.
Each deputy, official, civil servant, and employee of the National Assembly and its agencies donated at least one day’s salary.
“Natural disasters, no matter how severe, eventually pass. But the spirit of comradeship, the unity of our people, and the nation’s cherished tradition of helping those in need will always remain,” NA Vice Chairman Do Van Chien said.
The National Assembly acknowledges and commends the military, police, and other local forces who, despite hardship and danger, have devoted themselves to rescuing people and helping affected communities, he noted.
