At a working session on Thursday with the An Giang provincial Party Committee on the province’s performance over the past 10 months and its implementation of key breakthrough resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the Party General Secretary highlighted significant development opportunities for An Giang in the near-future, especially following administrative restructuring and the expansion of its maritime and border economic space. However, he noted that the province will also face challenges in infrastructure, the environment, and social security.

He urged An Giang to promote unity and discipline as a foundation for development, strengthen national defense, security, and external relations, and ensure a stable environment. He also called on the province to promote science-technology, innovation, and digital transformation through concrete programs and projects.
With a development space that includes plains, forests, and a maritime area, the Party General Secretary stressed that An Giang needs to restructure its economy toward modernization and aim for double-digit growth.
