The two sides discussed measures to promote trade cooperation in the oil and gas sector, contributing to increased bilateral trade between Vietnam and the US.

Cuong urged Petrovietnam’s member units, including BSR and PVOIL, to continue direct exchanges with ExxonMobil toward signing a framework agreement on long-term crude oil supply for the Dung Quat Refinery. The agreement would help ensure a stable supply of raw materials for production while expanding ExxonMobil's crude oil business.

He also introduced potential investment locations in Vietnam, highlighting Petrovietnam’s ability to leverage existing infrastructure, raw materials, and operational experience from its member units as key competitive advantages for long-term investment projects.
