The teams are fully equipped with medicines, medical supplies, and portable ventilators, monitoring devices, and floating stretchers to effectively handle emergency situations under the unique conditions at sea. The Quang Ninh Health Department has also developed a rigorous emergency transport plan, minimizing the time to approach and treat patients in case of an incident.
Vu Kien Cuong, Deputy Head of the Ha Long Bay-Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board, said: “This is one of the activities demonstrating the concern of Quang Ninh province and the decisiveness of the functional forces to ensure that visitors to Ha Long Bay feel the safest in all aspects.”
A multi-agency rescue and relief force has already been operating around the clock in Ha Long Bay for the safety of 4 million visitors there each year.
