Meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Mr. Chinh asked China to accelerate cooperation on the Lao Cai–Hanoi–Hai Phong standard gauge railway, so that construction will begin in December.
The two leaders agreed to continue to implement the high-level common perceptions to advance the Vietnam–China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership based on six major orientations. They pledged to maintain frequent high-level exchanges and strengthen cooperation in economics, trade, investment, science, technology, and innovation.
Mr. Li said China will continue working closely with Vietnam to translate top-level common perceptions into concrete outcomes. He noted China’s willingness to fast-track strategic connectivity with Vietnam, including infrastructure cooperation such as standard-gauge rail links between the two countries.

Mr. Chinh called for stronger agricultural cooperation, opening markets to each other's agricultural products, and processing Vietnamese agricultural products in Uruguay for local consumption and export to neighboring markets.

Mr. Chinh urged Chile to adopt policies to encourage Vietnamese enterprises to invest in Chile and contribute to local socio-economic development. The Chilean President said he hopes the two countries will strengthen their cooperation in culture, arts, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
