Mr. Lam affirmed that the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Azerbaijan was established during President Ho Chi Minh’s historic visit to Azerbaijan in 1959 and has been nurtured by generations of leaders and people of both countries.

“The inauguration of the Memorial Room dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh, the leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a national liberation hero, an outstanding cultural figure, and a close friend of peace-loving peoples around the world, at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University holds great significance. It reflects the deep affection of the Azerbaijani people for President Ho Chi Minh and contributes to further tightening the traditional friendship between the two countries," said Mr. Lam.

General Secretary Lam urged the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University to continue training high-quality Vietnamese students and researchers in oil, gas, and energy, in line with the two countries’ strategic partnership.

The memorial room features a statue of President Ho Chi Minh, along with images and documents of President Ho Chi Minh and Azerbaijan and reciprocal visits by the two countries’ leaders.
