Head of the Russian Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) delegation Valery Sorokin told a conference on post-2020 APEC’s future on Monday that Russia believed in APEC’s economic efficiency and Vietnam’s role in Russia’s eastward policy. The Russia-Vietnam relationship promises to prosper as Russia wants to diversify its trade agreements and markets and Vietnam now has an opportunity to enter the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union.
