During the call, Mr. Lam expressed his confidence that Japan will continue to develop and make positive contributions to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world. He invited the Emperor and Empress of Japan and Prime Minister Takaichi to visit Vietnam at a suitable time.
Ms. Takaichi said Japan wishes to strengthen cooperative relations with Vietnam in all fields. She applauded Vietnam's position and role in the region and said that Japan values Vietnam's independent and autonomous policies, and supports Vietnam in achieving its development goals in the new era.
The two leaders agreed to bolster high-level delegation exchanges and substantive cooperation between the two countries in defense and security, economy, science and technology, digital transformation, green transformation, energy security, labor, health, and local affairs.
