Themed “Digital Transformation & Green Growth – Elevating Vietnam Tourism,” VITM 2026 aimed to spread new development trends based on digital transformation and green growth.

Localities have promoted their new products and strengthened regional linkages. Gia Lai province, the host of National Tourism Year 2026, has coordinated with the Vietnam Tourism Association, and Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, and Ca Mau province to organize a tourism promotion conference.

Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said: “With the theme ‘Digital transformation and green growth,’ VITM 2026 aims to create new values for Vietnam tourism. The fair gives tourism businesses access to modern technological solutions and smart tourism business models, while marketing green and sustainable tourism products aligned with global tourism trends.”

Seminars focused on tourism development trends in the digital era and green tourism models. A B2B business-matching program set up tens of thousands of business meetings resulting in cooperation agreements involving 150 travel companies in key markets and more than 300 Vietnamese travel companies.

Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, said: “We want each edition of VITM to leave a strong impression of Vietnam in the minds of international visitors. This is a national-level event that attracts many domestic and international enterprises and helps position Vietnam’s tourism brand.”

VITM 2026 introduced 15,000 tourism products to 90,000 visitors and got 35 million views and interactions on TikTok.

Last year, Vietnam served 21.5 million international visitors and 135.5 million domestic tourists. Through events like VITM 2026, the Vietnamese tourism sector hopes to make a breakthrough this year by serving 25 million international visitors and 150 million domestic tourists.
