UN chief Ban Ki-moon is "seriously concerned" about North Korea's planned rocket launch at the end of this month, warning that it could heighten tensions in the region.

Speaking at a press conference at UN Headquarters in New York on Monday, UN spokesman Martin Nesirky repeated UN Chief’s statement in April when Pyongyang failed to launch another rocket saying that the launch must be criticized for challenging the consensus and firm view point of the world community. The UN Chief also called on North Korea not to have more hostile act which heightens tension in the region. Nesirky said Ban’s point of view to Pyongyang’s upcoming launching plan is unchanged and called on North Korea’s government to focus on building trust with neighboring countries and improving their people’s living standard.
