Earlier, Prime Minister Chinh met with Ibrahim Boughali, Speaker of the National People's Assembly of Algeria, where he urged the Algerian Lower House to ratify agreements that have been signed, especially those related to taxation, investment, and trade. He said Vietnam will soon invest in Algeria in banana, tea, rice, and seafood production, and asked the Algerian Lower House to help with land and water allocation.
PM Chinh called on Algeria to continue facilitating operations for the Viet Nam National Industry-Energy Group at the Bir Seba field. Building on this successful symbol of bilateral economic cooperation, he proposed expanding collaboration in oil and gas exploration, petrochemical production and processing, and polymer fiber production.
Assembly Speaker Boughali said the agreed-upon economic projects align with Algeria’s economic diversification policy and Vietnamese investors will receive special incentives. He said he wants to learn from Vietnam’s experience in reforming laws related to e-commerce and trade.
