During a phone conversation on Monday with Justin Hayhurst, Australia’s acting Deputy Foreign Minister and head of SOM Australia and the East Asia Summit (EAS), Mr. Dung expressed his wish to enhance coordination to strengthen the strategic partnership between ASEAN and Australia.

Mr. Hayhurst said Australia will continue to work closely with Vietnam to fight COVID-19 via regional cooperation mechanisms, including ASEAN-Australia cooperation and the EAS.

The two agreed to maintain the Vietnam-Australia strategic partnership and work closely to support Vietnamese citizens and students during this pandemic.
