The event was co-organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Participants shared their experiences with the OCOP models and discussed its role in transforming food systems to become more sustainable and resilient. They also explored the application of science and technology in agriculture.
Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam called for stronger South–South cooperation to jointly develop the OCOP program in line with FAO’s “Four Betters” goals: Better Production, Better Nutrition, a Better Life, and a Better Environment.
Vietnam currently has over 16,800 OCOP products rated three stars or higher.
