The award ceremony was held at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
Founded over two centuries ago, England’s Royal College of Surgeons is a world-renowned institution advancing surgical excellence, education, and patient care. The Honorary FRCS is awarded to individuals whose contributions to surgery and medicine have had a notable impact.
Katrin Kandel, CEO of Facing The World (FTW), a UK charity which connects Vietnamese hospitals and doctors with RCS, said this honor acknowledges the two doctors’ exceptional leadership, surgical skill, and commitment to improving craniofacial and reconstructive care in Vietnam as well as the growing collaboration between Vietnamese and British medical institutions.
