(VOVworld)- Activities marking Vietnam Physicians’ Day are underway across Vietnam. On Sunday, the HCM Municipal Youth Union organized a festival under the theme “Young health workers follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings".
To mark the occasion, 27 outstanding health workers were presented with Pham Ngoc Thach award. Doctor Nguyen Dinh Dung of the HCM City Preventive Medicine Center receives the award: “I feel proud because my efforts and contributions were acknowledged. I will continue to implement my initiatives at grassroots level. I will work harder to contribute to disease prevention and control.”

The Ministry of Health will organize a meeting in Hanoi on Monday on to mark the 62nd anniversary of Vietnam Physicians’ Day to honor outstanding workers. 134 physicians will be presented with the title “People’s Physician” and 6 will receive the title “National Emulation Fighter”.
