(VOVworld) – Former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh today received a delegation from the US university of Westfield and Academy of Wilbraham and Monson, led by Professor Thomas N. Gardner, on their visit to Vietnam.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh informed her guests of the US war aftermaths in Vietnam, including the Agent Orange/dioxin consequences, as well as pending issues in bilateral relations. Ms. Binh spoke at the event: "We appreciate your visit to explore Vietnam, especially the country’s development after the war. I think we can put both good and bad experiences in the past to build the Vietnamese-US relationship in the future to serve the interests of both countries."
The delegation is on a 2-week visit to Vietnam until this weekend to explore the country and people of Vietnam, and especially the war aftermath in the country.
