Ngo Khai Hoan, deputy head of the Africa, West Asia and South Asia Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted Middle Eastern and African countries have high demand for importing goods, many of which are main export products of Vietnam. Aside from rice, coffee, pepper, and leather shoes, Vietnam is also exporting electronic components and devices to the Middle East and Africa. Vietnam has diplomatic ties with over 70 countries in the region, showing that Vietnam has great potential to expand its export market.
