(VOVworld) – Na Hoi is one of the six communes in Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province, selected to implement the government’s new rural development program for the period 2010-2020. With this program, ethnic minority people in Na Hoi are joining hands to build a more prosperous life.

The province wants to tighten cooperation between farmers and enterprises, not just increase production scale. The farmers joining the program know what type of plants they should grow, who will buy their output, and the prices. The enterprises have no longer worry about supply or purchasing method.

(VOVworld) – The model for building new rural areas in Thanh Van on the outskirts of Hanoi has proven to be very effective. People’s living standards have improved considerably and everyone is satisfied with local authorities’ concern for them.

(VOVworld) – People in My Khanh commune, Can Tho city, welcomed the Lunar New Year (Tet) with great joy over the commune’s recognition as a new rural commune. Can Tho city’s Military Command organized Tet activities in My Khanh commune so residents and soldiers could enjoy a warm holiday together.

(VOVworld) – The pilot communes for the new rural development program in Ho Chi Minh city have obtained visible changes after 3 years. Successful production models have been expanded; people’s incomes have increased; and the infrastructure has been upgraded.

(VOVworld) – Co To Island in Quang Ninh province completed the 3-year new rural development program in late 2013. The district reached the finish line 2 years ahead of Quang Ninh province’s progress and 7 years ahead of the national deadline.

(VOVworld) – Quang Tri province used to be a poor land in the central region, which suffered heavily from wars and frequent natural disasters. Quang Tri nowadays has changed positively, especially in the rural areas, a result of the people’s involvement in new rural development.

(VOVworld) – Thay Ky hamlet in Vinh Thanh district was chosen by Can Tho city to pilot building new rural areas. The hamlet, whose population is largely Catholic, has always been recognized as a hamlet that typifies living the Gospel in a secular society.
