(VOVworld) – After 3 years of implementing the new rural development program, Ho Chi Minh city has 2 communes - Tan Thong Hoi and Thai My in Cu Chi district – both achieving all 19 new rural criteria. Cu Chi district, which was a one of the most fierce battlefields in the wars, has become a model for building rural areas on the outskirt of Ho Chi Minh city.

(VOVworld) – Two years of implementing Vietnam’s new rural areas program have brought positive changes to the villages of the Cham ethnic people in the southern province of Ninh Thuan. New houses have been built; roads have been expanded and paved; and canals have been upgraded. New apple and grapefruit orchards are boosting local incomes.

(VOVworld) – In the northern mountain province of Son La, the cooperative model has shaped the province’s new rural program. The cooperatives provide services to boost household economies, trading, and people’s living conditions.

(VOVworld) – Son Duong commune, Lam Thao district, is one of the three selected communes in the northern province of Phu Tho to pilot building new rural areas. In 2 years, the commune has achieved 18 of 19 new rural criteria, a result attributed to unity and consensus in the community.

(VOVworld) – The National Targets Program to build new rural areas has been well implemented in Binh Dinh province. Due to good communication campaigns, the program has rallied the active participation of the people and created massive influence in the community.

(VOVworld) – An Giang province has mobilized all resources to fully tap its advantages in agricultural production. One concern for the local authority and people is how to improve traveling, studying, and living conditions in the countryside. They have exerted more efforts on the new rural development program to give a face-lift to the whole area.

(VOVworld) – Binh Minh is a pioneer commune in the campaign to develop new rural areas in Hung Yen province. The commune is expected to achieve all 19 criteria of the new rural area development plan this year.

(VOVworld) – Dong Tam province is one of three communes in Yen The district, Bac Giang province, to pilot the National Target Program on building new rural areas. In one year, the commune has seen significant changes. Transportation is more convenient; people’s incomes have improved; and tree growing and animal raising have been restructured effectively.
