(VOV) – Son Binh commune in Khanh Son District, Khanh Hoa province, has identified tree cultivation as a way to increase profitability and farmers’ incomes. Local ethnic people know that finding a suitable crop means an escape from poverty, for them the most important norm in the national criteria for new rural development.

(VOVworld) – Two years after the new rural development program was launched, Vietnam’s rural areas have changed day by day with improved living conditions, rural transport, and production. VOV’s Vinh Phong reviews the program’s achievements over the past two years.

(VOV) – Two years after the new rural development program was launched, Xuan Hung commune in Dong Nai province has fulfilled 5 out of the 9 criteria for new rural areas. Joint efforts by the public and local authorities are the key to improving life in each hamlet of Xuan Hung commune. VOV’s Jasi reports:

(VOV) – Growing bigger fields of rice, a technique applied in 21 provinces and cities nationwide, has greatly contributed to the national program on new rural development. It has helped farmers reduce production costs, and increase productivity, profit, efficiency, and quality. This week, VOV’s Trang Nhung will tell you about some specific successful examples of applying the bigger field model.

(VOVworld) – Growing bigger fields of rice, a technique applied nationwide, has resulted in greater productivity, efficiency, and quality. The bigger field model has been successful in creating closer links between the state, scientists, businesses, and farmers. The model is now considered the right track for agricultural production and the new rural development program.

(VOV) – The mountainous commune of Sin Cheng in Lao Cai province has changed since the National Target Program on New Rural Development was implemented there. Efforts by local officials and citizens have made Sin Cheng outstanding among the villages which have successfully built new rural areas in Lao Cai.

(VOVworld) - Since launching of the program on new rural development two years ago, Vietnam’s rural face has changed greatly with people’s living conditions having been improved both materially and spiritually. However, to fulfill the program’s targets by 2020, localities nationwide have been making summaries, drawing lessons to deal with pending difficulties in communication, planning, and using capital sources.
