(VOVworld) - Since launching of the program on new rural development two years ago, Vietnam’s rural face has changed greatly with people’s living conditions having been improved both materially and spiritually. However, to fulfill the program’s targets by 2020, localities nationwide have been making summaries, drawing lessons to deal with pending difficulties in communication, planning, and using capital sources. (VOV) – Since the launching of the new rural development program two years ago, Hà Mòn commune in Dak Ha district of Kon Tum province has completed most criteria to become the first new rural village of the province and the whole Central Highlands region. VOV’s reporter Khoa Điềm reports Hà Mòn’s experiences in achieving this success.

(VOV) – The northern mountainous province of Ha Giang is blessed with beautiful landscapes and the cultural treasures of 22 ethnic minority groups. Since Dong Van Stone Plateau was recognized as a World Geological Park, Ha Giang has become an even more attractive destination for tourists. These advantages are enabling the province to develop community-based tourism and help its communes achieve national targets for new rural development.

(VOV) – The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong is famous for coffee, cacao, and tourism. It leads the country in the application of advance technology to agricultural production that makes the new rural development process much easier. But its current biggest hurdle is to create consensus and democracy among local people. It considers this the key to completing the program on new rural development. (VOV) – The northern province of Bac Ninh has adopted a target program on new rural development until 2015 in which half of all communes must match the criteria for new rural areas. To realize its goal, which is double the national goal, Bac Ninh is exerting maximum effort for that it considers an important mission for local authorities and people. It’s acknowledged that many villages in the program have already fulfilled 18 of 19 criteria.

(VOVworld) – The Steering Committee of the national target program on new rural development has carried out many programs to boost human resource training for building new rural areas, considering them a key to the program’s success. (VOV) – The central highlands province of Gia Lai is facing numerous difficulties in implementing the 19-criteria new rural development program as most local people, especially those from ethnic groups, are living below the poverty line. Despite hardships, Ayun Ha commune in Phu Thien District has found a way to mobilize local people to develop new rural areas. Pham Duy, VOV correspondent in the Central Highlands, reports.

(VOVworld) –Located 50km to the west of Thanh Hoa City, Tho Xuan District is well-known as one of district in the province which has developed its society and economy, and gained new achievements in its agricultural and rural economies. Even more notable, after the new rural development program started three years ago, people’s standards of living have improved while the local political conditions and social security have remained stable.
