(VOVWORLD) - Thanh Ha commune in Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province, is famous for its lace embroidery. The craft has been practiced there for more than 130 years.

(VOVWORLD) - Hung Yen has many traditional craft villages, whose products typify the beauty of the age-old countryside. Many craft villages have been preserved, inherited and developed.

(VOVWORLD) - Hung Yen is one of the first three localities in Vietnam to complete new-style rural building. It now has 102 advanced new-style rural communes and 36 model new-style rural communes. Agricultural development in line with building advanced and model new-style rural areas has significantly improved the lives of locals and made the rural areas in Hung Yen more civilized and modern.

(VOVWORLD) - The “ca rang”, or earthen stove, is a product of the southern region. The stove is made of clay, with three legs attached to a fire-resistant grate shaped like a figure 8 that’s used to add more charcoal without removing the wok. For 100 years Phu Tho hamlet in An Giang province has been preserving the traditional stove-making craft.

(VOVWORLD) - Drums made by Binh An village in Tan Tru district, Long An province, are renowned in the south for their quality. Its drums have been exported to the US, France, UK, Australia, China, South Korea, and Cambodia.

(VOVWORLD) - “Mê bồ” or bamboo weaving is a traditional craft in My Tra commune, Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province. A revival of “mê bồ” in recent years has improved the living conditions of those who still practice the age-old craft.

(VOVWORLD) - Tan Chau town in An Giang province is home to “Lanh My A”, a luxuriously soft and beautiful handmade silk.

(VOVWORLD) - 80% of the Khmer ethnic people who live in Ca Hom-Ben Ba village in Ham Tan commune, Tra Vinh province, are engaged in the craft of mat weaving. Mat weaving began there in 1920 after local women visited relatives in the southernmost province of Ca Mau province and learned it. Upon their return, they cut sedge, split it into fibers, dried it, asked the local men to build looms, and started weaving. Their first sedge mats were very rough and clumsy but they used them instead of buying mats at the market. The mats improved and by the 1940s, the whole village was making mats and selling them at the market. The craft village’s golden age was the 1960s.

(VOVWORLD) - The conical hat of Phu Gia village in Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province, has been called a "masterpiece". This unique handicraft product bears the cultural and historical identity of King Quang Trung’s reign. The time-honored craft was recently recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
