(VOVworld) – The 2015 spring press fair opened in Hanoi on Saturday. Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and leaders of central agencies and Hanoi attended the opening ceremony.

President of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association Thuan Huu said: “The fair is an occasion to honor the revolutionary press, which contributes significantly to building a wealthy people and a strong, democratic, equal, and civilized nation. It helps to communicate Party and state policies to the public and promote Vietnamese culture in line with the resolution of the 9^th plenum of the 11^th Party Central Committee.”

The fair has attracted a large number of visitors. Tran Tri Dung from Ho Chi Minh city said: “The fair encourages patriotism in communications. The fair has developed in both scope and scale over the years.”

The Voice of Vietnam is among those media agencies showcasing its materials and technologies at the fair. 

The fair will be open until February 10. All publications will then be given to people and soldiers in remote, mountain, and island areas.
