[VOVWORLD] - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that he stood by a proposal made to Russia for a ceasefire contingent on Moscow halting all attacks on energy infrastructure.
Zelensky said in his nightly video address that the proposal had been conveyed to Moscow through the US. He stated that Kyiv would be prepared to take reciprocal steps if Russia halts strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Since the beginning of the year, Russia, the United States, and Ukraine have held three rounds of trilateral talks on Ukraine, with the latest taking place in Geneva on February 17-18.
