The program aimed to preserve and promote the values of traditional Cheo art and build an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, said VOV President Do Tien Sy.

“The organization of nine Cheo exchanges has proved the eternal value of Cheo art in the Vietnamese culture,” Mr Sy said, adding, “Every day the Voice of Vietnam broadcasts cultural and art programs, including the features about Cheo. The program jointly organized by the National Radio Festival and the Association of Cheo Lovers continues to affirm the relationship between radio and art forms, including Cheo art.”

The repertoires left a deep impression on the audience. “We hope that there will be clubs in districts and cities where artisans and artists teach the folk art to the younger generations so that we can preserve the traditional Cheo and national identity,” a visitor said.
