The closing ceremony of the National Radio Festival 2026 was held at the Quang Ninh Province Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace on Monday evening.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication, Education, and Mass Mobilization, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Mr. Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of Voice of Vietnam, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication, Education, and Mass Mobilization, and Head of the Festival Steering Committee.
The 17th National Radio Festival received nearly 350 entries. The Organizing Committee presented 24 Gold, 37 Silver, 71 Bronze, and 60 Consolation prizes across various categories, including live radio broadcasting, reports, investigative reports, ethnic-language programs, and podcasts. In addition, 29 other awards were presented, including Best Storyteller (Host), Best Live Radio Program Presenter, Best Live Radio Production Team, Best Announcer, and Best Technician.
Head of the Festival Organizing Committee, VOV Vice President, journalist Pham Manh Hung said: “Participating units carefully researched and prepared their entries, selecting timely topics closely linked to major national events and pressing social issues, while also reflecting the identity of each locality and region. The themes are diverse and rich, featuring moving stories about people’s lives and labor that resonate deeply with listeners. The presentation methods are creative. Some major and well-established stations, such as Quang Ninh Media Center, the Voice of Ho Chi Minh City People, several units of Voice of Vietnam, and Nghe An Radio and Television, produced particularly impressive works.”
At the 17th National Radio Festival, reporters from VOVWORLD won multiple awards.
Gold Prize in the Report/Investigative Report category for the work: “A peaceful Vietnamese Tet in every home: A lightning-fast order from the hearts of soldiers”;
Best Live Radio Program Presenter Award;
Silver Prize in the Live Radio category for the program “Steps of Kindness”;
Second Prize in the photo and video clip category with the work “Quang Ninh – Aspiration to rise with the nation”;
Bronze Prize in the Podcast category for the work “What if life is never brilliant?”;
Consolation Prize in the Thematic Program category for the work “Ha Long Bay on its journey to becoming Vietnam’s unique cultural brand.”
