On the occasion of ASEAN’s 50th founding anniversary. Nam said that since Vietnam joined the bloc in 1995, it has contributed to the development and success of the association through numerous initiatives. Vietnam has contributed to promoting solidarity, ASEAN’s role, and to peace and security in the region. Vietnam is one of the vanguard countries in realizing ASEAN’s action programs and strategies. Ambassador Nam also said Vietnam will introduce more initiatives and take specific actions to contribute to the bloc’s growth.
