Chairing a working session in Hanoi on Wednesday with relevant ministries and sectors on solutions to care for and support people with disabilities nationwide, General Secretary To Lam underlined future tasks.
He said, “Efforts should be made to raise community awareness, eliminate stigma, and promote a barrier-free and accessible society for all. It’s necessary to encourage the private sector, social organizations and communities to participate extensively in support for people with disabilities from generating jobs to creating friendly products and services. Rehabilitation centers for people with disabilities must be expanded at the grassroots level, ensuring that they receive regular health check-up.”
The Party leader assigned relevant agencies to develop a specific action plan to report to the Secretariat for consideration in the second quarter of 2026, aiming to improve the quality of life of more than 7 million people with disabilities nationwide.
