Earlier, a consultation involving 2,800 children from 16 provinces and cities was jointly conducted by relevant agencies and international partners.

The consultation results offer a comprehensive snapshot of children’s online habits and the personal safety risks they face. Based on these findings, the Ministry of Public Security will propose to the Prime Minister tasks and solutions for the 2026-2030 phase of the program, targeting a dual objective: ensure children’s online safety and improve their digital skills to help nurture a new generation of digital citizens.

Participating students expressed a desire for safer Internet access, stronger self-protection skills in the digital environment, and better guidance on recognizing fake news, scams, and harmful links. They also raised questions about the responsibility of businesses to protect children online.
