Chilean President Michelle Bachelet
(VOVworld) – Chilean President Michelle Bachelet said the TPP is a very ambitious integration process, an economic integration that brings together 12 countries, in the most economically dynamic region of the 20th century.
Speaking to the media following a cabinet meeting on Saturday, she said Chile's participation in the TPP is an expression of a deepening in a foreign policy of more than 25 years.
She said there were sensitive issues such as intellectual property rights and bio-products, but Chile has obtained agreements balancing its important interests.
She said Chilean negotiators have protected national interests and the TPP will open opportunities to Chilean exporters to penetrate foreign markets.
