Lieutenant General Hoang Van Dong, Secretary of the Coast Guard High Command’s Party Committee and Political Commissar, said the model “Coast Guard stands side-by-side with fishermen” has promoted the national great unity in the national construction and defense, and national sea and island sovereignty protection.

“Over the past two years, we have successfully educated and improved the awareness of people and especially fishermen in island communes and districts about the missions to protect our maritime sovereignty,” said Dong.

On this occasion, the High Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard presented 200 gift sets for disadvantaged fishermen in Kien Giang.
