"Today, EU ministers agreed to designate the Iran Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization," said Kallas. "Going forward, we must be ready to further increase pressure on the authorities and continue supporting Iran's civil society."
The EU also introduced new restrictive measures, including asset freezes and travel bans, targeting 15 senior Iranian officials and six entities. The decision is widely seen as a major turning point in the EU’s foreign policy after years of internal debate.
