Addressing the event organized by the Voice of Vietnam and the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province, Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Commission, Trinh Van Quyet, praised the theme of this year's Radio Festival. It reflects the determination and commitment of the Vietnamese radio industry to national development, he said and urged for strong innovation, a pioneering role, and flexible adaptability to modern media trends.

“Continue to amplify the role of radio as the official voice of the Party, State, and people. Each program and each work must promptly and accurately convey the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations. Efforts should be made improve the quality of content in a way that is accurate, humane, and high relativity. Radio should report news and also guide, from awareness to inspiring aspirations for development, spreading positive values, encouraging innovation, and daring to think and act for the common good of the nation and people,” Mr. Quyet said.

Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong said radio waves have disseminated info of people’s life, construction sites, seaports, and aspirations for progress, reaching every home, inspiring confidence and amplifying positive values.

“I hope that the rhythm of life and emotions in Quang Ninh province will inspire you to create numerous outstanding radio works, spreading the image of Quang Ninh and Vietnam to the public. I wish the 17th National Radio Festival a great success and a significant milestone on the journey of "Radio for a strong and prosperous Vietnam", Mr. Cuong said.

President of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy said that amid tremendous digital transformation of journalism, this festival, with nearly 100 podcast entries, has affirmed the extremely powerful ability of sound to reach the public across multiple platforms, demonstrating the determination of the Vietnamese radio industry to proactively adapt, innovate, and integrate.

“In the era of multi-platform media, radio broadcasting is not just about “listening” but also about experiencing, not just about “transmitting information” but also about connecting emotions. This requires every radio professional to constantly innovate their thinking, improve their capabilities, master technology, and create content to meet the increasingly high demands of the public. We continue to affirm the role of radio broadcasting in the Vietnamese media system and in the hearts of those who love radio and the Voice of Vietnam, while ushering in new, stronger, and more creative directions,” according to Mr. Sy.

The radio festival’s opening art program “Sounds of the New Era” was a spectacular music extravaganza with its three chapters: Sounds of Origin, Sounds of Heritage, and Sounds of the New Era.
