At the headquarters of the Lao Mission, Ambassador Viet expressed his delight at the development of the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic connection between Vietnam and Laos. He shared information about the results of the first session of the 16th National Assembly, and thanked the leaders of the Lao Party and State for sending a congratulatory message to the Vietnamese leadership for the 2026-2031 term.

Ambassador Thongphane Savanphet, Head of the Lao Mission, expressed his desire for the two countries to continue strengthening cooperation and supporting each other to maintain growth and ensure energy security amidst the global complexity.

At the Cambodian Mission, Ambassador Viet applauded the achievements that the Cambodians have achieved and expressed his confidence that Cambodia will continue to thrive. The diplomat said he hopes that the two sides will further strengthen cooperation and actively coordinate at multilateral forums, especially between the two missions in New York.

Ambassador Chhea Keo, Head of the Cambodian Mission, agreed to further promote cooperation between the two countries on global and regional issues of common interest, especially within the UN and the ASEAN Committee in New York.
