They are coordinating with the Border Guard and other relevant forces to disseminate information, guide fishermen to safe shelters, reinforce equipment, and maintain close monitoring of the storm’s developments. Coast Guard units also stand ready to support local authorities when needed.
At the same time, they have strengthened their own facilities, cleared drainage systems, and ensured maximum safety for personnel and equipment.
Koto is forecast to affect coastal waters from Gia Lai to Khanh Hoa provinces in the coming days before weakening into a tropical depression.
