Party leader To Lam receives OVs in Hanoi on January 19, 2025.

Mr. Lam was speaking at a reception in Hanoi on Sunday for 100 OVs from more than 40 countries and territories, who are in Vietnam to attend the 2025 Homeland Spring program organized by the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese.

Despite significant challenges last year, Vietnam achieved key objectives in socio-economic development, defense, security, and diplomacy, Party leader Lam said.

He emphasized that Vietnam's ultimate goal is to build a strong country with prosperous people, standing on equal footing with global powers.

All Vietnamese people are united as one under the leadership of the Party, working together with determination and solidarity to seize every opportunity, and overcome challenges and risks to drive the country toward comprehensive and strong development, Mr. Lam said.

The Party and State highly value the invaluable contributions of the Vietnamese community worldwide to national development, he noted.

The OV representatives expressed their strong confidence in Vietnam's future development and pledged to contribute to the realization of Vietnam’s aspirations in its new era of national rise.
