In his remarks at a patriotic emulation congress of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2025-2030 period, Prime Minister Chinh, who is also Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, requested the diplomatic sector to continue to promote its pioneering role, reform mindset and methods of foreign affairs implementation in all fields.

Building a comprehensive and modern diplomacy imbued with the Vietnamese diplomatic identity - steadfast in principles, flexible in strategies, humane and just in conduct, unwavering in national interests, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said.
“Do better in the connecting role by strengthening bilateral diplomacy to connect domestically and internationally; economic connection; cultural connection; digital and technological connection; and human connection. Do better in the international mission,” PM Chih added.
Over the past five years of implementing the emulation movement, the diplomatic sector has achieved outstanding results. Given its vaccine diplomacy during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam mobilized and received more than 258 million doses of vaccine, saving the state budget more than 900 million USD, and received medical equipment worth 80 million USD.
Vietnam has succeeded in its multilateral diplomacy, assumed major roles like non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 term and ASEAN Chair in 2020; organized the ASEAN Future Forum, and coordinated the organization of the signing ceremony of the UN Convention against Cybercrime.
