The workshop themed "Podcast - Creative Avenue for Radio Broadcast in the Digital Age" as part of the 17th National Radio Festival, involved international experts, journalists, podcast producers, and others.
In his remarks, Mr. Sy said the forum is for managers, experts, and media agencies at home and abroad to exchange experiences, identify trends, and propose solutions to develop podcasts in a systematic, effective, and sustainable manner.
"The Voice of Vietnam’s overall digital transformation strategy prioritizes digital content, digital space, and the digital audience in all decisions regarding production organization, infrastructure investment, and resource allocation. Podcast is inseparable from and closely linked to the goal of building a digital media ecosystem for VOV, contributing to maintaining its role as a leading media agency and guiding public opinion in the digital age," he added.
At this year's National Radio Festival, podcast is included as an official competition category for the first time. Of the 343 entries, 97 are podcasts, demonstrating the strong growth of audio content on digital platforms.
Nguyen Hong Duong, Head of the Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Department at the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, expressed his hope, saying “Hopefully, journalists and experts will not only discuss technology, but also use podcast to bridge a strong Vietnam in the new era to the world. Quang Ninh stories will be told about its generous miners, the magical beauty of its heritage, and a renewed Vietnam through this modern and personalized form of journalism.”
Speakers updated on the latest podcast development trends worldwide, shared successful models and lessons learned in organizing production and distribution of content to create breakthroughs on digital platforms.
