(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang received the Party General Secretary and President of Laos Bounnhang Volachith on Tuesday.


Quang praised cooperation between the two countries at multilateral forums and said Vietnam will continue to help Laos fulfill its ASEAN Presidency 2016. He called for Laos’ continued coordination with Vietnam over the East Sea issue and in the sustainable management and use of the Mekong river’s water resources. The Lao president said the Lao party and state will continue to contribute to the traditional friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
