Relations between Russia and the United States are not currently frozen, unlike during the presidency of Joe Biden, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday.
"Our relations are open, we communicate regularly at various levels and are always ready for contacts," Lavrov said after a visit to China. "Some contacts are initiated by us, others take place at the request of the American side," and not all of them are made public he added.
Russia remains committed to agreements on Ukraine reached at the Russia–US summit in Alaska (US) in August 2025, Lavrov said.
