Vietnam’s top leader met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where he reiterated Vietnam’s wish and determination to work with China to elevate the comprehensive development of bilateral relations to a new level.
Premier Li said China adheres to a policy of friendship with Vietnam, considers Vietnam a priority in China's neighborhood diplomacy, and consistently supports the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by General Secretary and President To Lam, in successfully achieving the goals and tasks set forth by the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and realizing the vision of Vietnam becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045.
Also Wednesday afternoon, General Secretary and President To Lam met with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) Zhao Leji. Both sides said they continue to consider exchanges and cooperation between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the National People's Congress of China as an important contributor to the overall promotion of Vietnam-China relations.
