According to SRF, Vietnam is emerging as one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, with a robust GDP growth of more than 7% in 2024. As a result, the Swiss government has been paying significant attention to strengthening cooperative relations with Vietnam.
Anja Fiedler, a representative of Switzerland Global Enterprise, noted in the report that Vietnam’s economy is growing faster than most Western countries. While Vietnam’s GDP growth slowed during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has rebounded—most recently exceeding 7%.
Vietnam is becoming more attractive to Swiss companies as both an export market and a production hub, said Fiedler.
