Six-grade children in Hanoi’s districts of Ha Dong, Phu Xuyen and Soc Son were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Saturday. The vaccination campaign continues in other localities in Hanoion Sunday and is scheduled to last 10 days. Hanoi receives 72,700 doses to vaccinate about 1 million children eligible for vaccination.

In Ho Chi Minh, about 30,000 six-grade children received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at 100 injection sites yesterday.

The Department of Preventive Medicine reports that there are more than 11.8 million children aged 5 to under 12 eligible for COVID-19 vaccination. But this time about 8.2 million children, who have not been infected with COVID-19, will be vaccinated. The 3.6 million children already infected with COVID-19 are scheduled to be vaccinated in July and August.

The children of this age group will get Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
