Vietnam among countries with highest vaccine coverage, review says

(VOVWORLD) -By the end of 2021, 70% of Vietnam’s population had been vaccinated with the full basic doses of COVID-19 vaccine, reaching the finish line 6 months ahead of the WHO recommended target. In March 2022, Vietnam became one of the 6 countries with the highest vaccine coverage rate in the world, according to data released at a meeting reviewing Vietnam’s vaccine diplomacy.

Chairing the online meeting on Wednesday, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said the review aims to re-evaluate the things that have been done as well as not done, clearly identify the causes and draw valuable lessons to apply to the vaccine diplomacy, which continues to expand into economic diplomacy to serve the current rapid recovery and sustainable development.
