Dr. Dinh Van Luong, Director of the National Lung Hospital, said this is the first time in Vietnam that two lung transplants were completed successfully on the same day, bringing the hospital’s total to nine and placing Vietnam among the world’s major lung transplant centers.
All lung transplants performed by the hospital have met the highest standards set by the UCSF Lung Transplant Center of the University of California, San Francisco.
