While attending an interactive dialogue between UN members and UNDP Administrator Alexander de Croo on Wednesday at UN headquarters in New York, Ambassador Viet reaffirmed Vietnam’s support for the priorities outlined in the UNDP Strategic Plan for the 2026–2029 period and called on the agency to continue helping Vietnam implement the Just Energy Transition Partnership and promote science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and AI as key drivers of sustainable development.
The diplomat urged the UNDP to strengthen system-wide coherence and coordination, drawing on practical lessons from the “Delivering as One” initiative implemented in Vietnam, and underscored the importance of stable funding to enable the UNDP to operate effectively.
