During a talk in Hanoi on Tuesday between Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung and Solomon Islands Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Peter Shanel Agovaka, Minister Trung asked the Solomon Islands to facilitate fishing licenses for Vietnamese enterprises and affirmed Vietnam’s readiness to send experts in agriculture and fisheries.
Minister Agovaka expressed interest in increasing imports of Vietnamese products such as rice and building materials, and welcomed Vietnamese investment in infrastructure, mining, and renewable energy.
Both sides agreed to soon sign agreements on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders, investment protection and promotion, and avoidance of double taxation.
