Lam expressed his hope that cooperation between Vietnam and Azerbaijan would deepen and become more substantive, aligning with the long-standing traditional friendship and the potential of both countries.

He emphasized that elevating the relationship to a Strategic Partnership provides a solid foundation for strengthening bilateral ties. He urged both sides to further enhance parliamentary cooperation, contributing to the effective implementation of bilateral agreements.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova welcomed the Joint Statement on the establishment of the Vietnam–Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership. She expressed her belief that the General Secretary’s visit would generate new momentum to further advance bilateral relations.
The two leaders agreed to promote the role of the two legislatures in coordinating, supporting, and encouraging relevant ministries and sectors to enhance economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
They also concurred on the importance of fostering people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between localities, as well as strengthening coordination at multilateral parliamentary forums, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
