In his address at the first congress, term 2025-2027 of the Vietnamese Student Association in India, Ambassador Hai said that there are only 1,000 Vietnamese living, studying and working in different states of India. The Vietnamese students in India total 400, many of whom are monks and nuns.
“The student community is growing stronger as many Vietnamese students are finding India a suitable country, a developed country where they can learn from. So, the need to establish an official student association is becoming more urgent. We are making many plans and will stage one or two cultural performances at the Embassy's Lunar New Year celebrations. Next year, on November 30th, which is the Association's founding day, members and students from all states of India will be invited to join in activities together,” said Nguyen Gia Phuc, a student at Delhi University, a member of the Association’s Executive Board.
