Hong Kong (China) and ASEAN have continued to accelerate, partly offsetting weaker demand in the US, the European Union, and other markets.

Shrimp remained the leading export product, with export revenue reaching 3.29 billion USD, up 12.3% and accounting for 41% of total seafood export revenue. Pangasius exports earned 1.5 billion USD in the first eight months, up 9%. Hong Kong (China) recorded the strongest growth among export markets, with turnover reaching 2.03 billion USD, up 33.4% and accounting for 25.4% of the industry's total export revenue.

Looking ahead to the end of the year, demand linked to the holiday season and inventory restocking cycles could continue to support exports. However, the seafood industry's growth outlook will depend heavily on trade policy developments and exporters' ability to meet new technical requirements in overseas markets.
