Can Tho Court’s ruling on divorce case involving Koo Hai Chong and Nguyen Thi Thuy

Malaysian citizen Koo Hai Chong was born in 1957. His address is 116 Kampung Baru 1, 84900 Tangkak, Johor, Malaysia.

The court’s judgments were stated as followed:

1. The Court accepts Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuy’s request to divorce Mr. Koo Hai Chong.

2. Shared children: Custody of daughter Koo Xing Chess, born on April 15, 2015, is awarded to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuy for upbringing and education. Ms. Thuy does not request child support from Mr. Koo Hai Chong.

Mr. Koo Hai Chong has the right and obligation to visit, care for, and educate the child, and this right cannot be obstructed by anyone.

For the child’s benefit, adjustments to child support or custody may be made if necessary.

3. Shared property: There was no request for settlement.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuy has the right to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling within 15 days after the decision is announced.

Mr. Koo Hai Chong has the right to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling within 1 month after the judgment is lawfully served or posted. His petition must be reviewed by the High People's Court in Ho Chi Minh City.
