During her visit on Saturday, she urged local authorities to ensure better living conditions for residents and promote poverty reduction. In a similar celebration in Thuan An town, Binh Duong province, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh asked for more communications to encourage local people in mutual support activities. “Party cells should join efforts with veterans, retirees and elderly people to help younger generation in promoting unity,” said Mr. Binh.
The same day, Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, attended a celebration to mark the National Unity Day at Dong En residential area in Kim Binh commune, Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province. The HCMC Party Committee;s Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan marked the event with people of Kim Cau hamlet, Kim Hoa commune, Tra Vinh province, while Minister of National Defense Ngo Xuan Lich attended the event at Ha Nam province's Ly Nhan district.
